Lifelong Learning

UBC Mining Engineering is committed to providing lifelong learning to all professionals who are involved in the field of mining.

Competitiveness and sustainable practices are making it necessary for companies in the mining industry to put increasing importance on finding a way for their personnel to stay current with new technology and best practices. As a result the concept of Lifelong Learning and the transformation of companies into Learning Organizations has growing relevance in the industry.

The NBK Institute of Mining Engineering understands the need to evolve in a changing world and so has undertaken to address this need through a program of Lifelong Learning. As a first step to achieving this larger goal, the Institute has partnered with EduMine (LNK) and CIM (LNK) to develop the UBC Certificate in Mining Studies, which is a combination of online and classroom learning.
